Time to invest in butter futures

To put it simply: I will be baking cakes.

52 cakes.  Over the course of a year.  You guessed it - once per week.  And there will be no repeats.

I am no domestic goddess.  But as a stranger in a strange land, I find myself contemplating those host(ess) touches that put guests at ease.  Ones that say 'welcome!' to old chums and set the stage for new friendships.  Whether stopping by for coffee or quickly dropping off a borrowed thingamabob, who could honestly resist the phrase "Would you like a slice of cake?"

So do stop by again!  I promise I'll have cake.
